How to
do the State Standards Packets (many Unit Anchor Activities are State Standards Packets)

Unit 1 Nuclear Chem
Unit 1
Anchor Activity. (This is an activity you can always work on in class if I am busy working with other groups of students.  You won't get into behavior trouble if you are working on the Anchor for each unit, and I haven't assigned something separate for you to do.)
Unit 1
Standards (don't forget, that you can get all the standards in the "Regal Chem EBook" link above)
Unit 1
Practice Test. (If you understand this, you're in good shape, but keep studying!)
Worksheet 1, Unit 1 (We've done these in class, but you may want a copy for yourself)
Worksheet 2, Unit 1
Worksheet 3, Unit 1

Unit 2 Scientific Method/Periodic Table Basics
Unit 2
Anchor Activity
Unit 2
Standards
(After this unit, I expect you to go to the Ebook.  At the start of each unit, you'll see the Standards for that unit.  That way you can print them out)
Unit 2
Review Worksheet Unit 1 and 2 with answers
Unit 2
Practice test with answers
Unit 2
Worksheet 1, Worksheet 2

Unit 3. Chemistry Math and Previous Science Review
Unit 3
Anchor Activity (If you're a person who plans ahead, why not PRINT out the Unit 4 SSP Anchor BEFORE you come to class on the day after the Unit 3 test?  It will save you having to copy the Standards by hand, and you'll show you're ready for college!)

A very good extra website on the state science standards, including all Chemistry Standards.
Link to get the Regal Chem EBook
Check this area AT LEAST once per unit (once a week is better!)
Remember, the BEST ways I recommend you should study for our State Standards-based exams:
1. Read the Unit in the EBook several times and take your own notes on it.
2. Practice any worksheets I've given you.  Sometimes the worksheets are even here on the website.
3. A couple days before the test, use the EBook and worksheets to MAKE UP YOUR OWN QUESTIONS.  That's a skill you'll use in college to get ready for tests.

Honors Students: Remember that you have many extra assignments, but that the material given below is the "foundation" that all 1st-year students must learn for the state exam.  You may not have to do all the work given here, but they make great study guides.
